Raymond W. (Ray) Reynolds
Following his retirement as Vice President at SIG SAUER, Ray formed a consulting company, Reynolds & Associates, LLC, specializing in the introduction of new products to the commercial sporting goods and public safety markets. Ray and his associates are highly motivated retired firearms industry / law enforcement executives, with numerous industry, federal, state and local contacts. Recently, Reynolds & Associates, LLC joined forces with the Pledger Company, founded by Jim Pledger, a retired FBI Senior Executive and firearms industry executive. The joint company, Pledger & Reynolds, LLC broadens the vision and direction of the partnership. The joint venture has a contact list including over one thousand police suppliers and three hundred law enforcement related associations.
Ray’s client list includes Bayco Products (Flashlights), DeMatteo Monness (Consultants), Detonics (Firearms), DKG Trading (Imports), Midwest Distributors (Class III Firearms) and Zanders Sporting Goods (Estate & Law Enforcement Trades). Ray is currently an associate member of the National Association of Police Equipment Distributors and a voting member of the Shooting Industry’s Academy of Excellence. He is also a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), currently serving on the Firearms Committee.
Prior to his service at SIG SAUER, Ray was a senior level executive with Beretta U.S.A. and Glock, Inc. Responsibilities included the selection, training, motivation and management of national and international sales forces and the promotion of products to three diverse industry market segments. Present and past positions required extensive U.S. and international travel; setting sales goals and objectives; internal and external supervision of sales managers & independent sales representatives and support personnel. Ray and his team developed enhanced direct and indirect sales models including two and three tier distribution. Previously, Ray owned a retail gun store supplying officers and collectors with high quality firearms and related items.
Ray is also a highly decorated, retired Lieutenant of Police; St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, where he served for 24 years. Major areas of responsibility included -
